Glendale, AZ- In a rare mid-week contest, ACU Lacrosse lost 8-7 to Fort Lewis College on Tuesday. The loss moves the Firestorm to 4-2 on the year as they prepare for another home contest on Saturday.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
On Tuesday, ACU continued its homestand coming up on the short end of an 8-7 contest against Fort Lewis College. Fort Lewis College came out firing scoring the first three goals before Scout Koch found the back of the net at the 4:14 mark of the first quarter. Down 3-1 after 1, took 2 of the 3 goals in the 2^nd with Wood and Schaapveld adding to the scoring. A 4-2 ACU 3^rd quarter would be eclipsed by a tying goal by Fort Lewis at 13:10 and the game winning goal at 8:22 in the 4^th quarter. ACU barely won the turnover battle 34-32 but Fort Lewis won the faceoff and groundball battles 13-6 and 30-17, respectively.

"Great performance by Fort Lewis. We believed in our matchups and did everything we could on defense to stop some of their leading scorers from getting involved. Shoutout to Ryan Leonard on his performance covering a 2nd Team All-American. He did phenomenal. Offensively we just never got in a groove and costly turnovers came back to bite us. We'll keep working to get better and trust that God will use all situations for our good."

The Firestorm continue their homestand with a game on Saturday (March 23^rd) against the University of San Diego. Game time is set for 6:30 pm.
