Atherton, Calif.- In a battle to get a grasp of second place in the GSAC standings, Arizona Christian could not win the right matches fast enough and fell to Menlo on Friday.

• Hugo Abril and Jonas Wand started the match off in good fashion with a 6-2 win at doubles one
• Menlo won doubles two and three to earn the doubles point
• In singles action, the Oaks won in straight sets on courts six and three 
• Singles four saw Fenosoa Rasendra drop set one, claim set two in 6-2 fashion, but fall in the third as MC clinched the match
• Unfortunately, the other three matches went down as unfinished
• The unfinished matches were all playing in the third set with ACU ahead in two including Adrian Smith up 3-0

Thoughts from Coach Carlisle
"Unfortunately nothing seemed to go our way today.  The conditions were definitely tough and not what we are used to, but regardless of that we just did not play very well.  We have struggled with doubles this year and that bit us again today. We battled back well in singles, it was just a little too late today. Hopefully we can rebound well against Jessup tomorrow and lock up the three seed in the GSAC tournament."
