Thoughts from Coach Butterfield
"Our guys competed well against some tough Cascade conference opponents. With a few starters out of the lineup due to injuries and sickness, our guys showed up ready to compete. Our dual against a very tough SOU team resulted in three solid wins. Highlighted by Leo Galasso's win over #12 Braylin Ruchti. The following day our guys dominated Evergreen State, winning six out of the seven matches that were wrestled. The following dual against Corban resulted in our team coming up short due to a forfeit that was given up due to an injury in the first dual. Our guys won five of the nine matches wrestled. This was highlighted by Julio Gonzales winning over previous Cascade conference finalist Brayden Boyd, and Channing Porter's win over #21 Blake Runion. We are proud of our guys and their grit throughout the weekend."

Next Up
On Wednesday, the Firestorm will head to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Desert Duals at 10am.
