Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, the Great Southwest Athletic Conference announced the GSAC Players of the Week presented by the Pickleball Space and Ese Onakpoma earned the Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor.

Onakpoma, native of Naugatuck, CT, averaged 20 points with three rebounds and three assists on the week.  The guard started the week with 17 points against Park Gilbert at home before scoring 23 points at OUAZ on Saturday.  He shot lights out during the week as he connected on 14 of his 15 shots from the field (93.3%)

With Onakpoma leading the way, the Firestorm, ranked number five in the NAIA, are currently on a nine-game win streak and tied for first place in the GSAC standings.
