Firestorm Versus Lancers In NAIA Quarterfinals

Kansas City, Mo.- On Saturday in the quarterfinals of the 87th Annual NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship Arizona Christian- the top seed of the Cramer Quadrant- will go head-to-head with Grace (IN)- the 2025 Cramer's second seed. The Firestorm return to at least the quarterfinals for the third time in four years.

Arizona Christian
The Firestorm (29-4) are the top seed in the Cramer Quadrant after beating Cumberlands (KY) 86-76 on Thursday. ACU is currently riding a 15 game winning streak- the longest in program history. Arizona Christian ranks sixth in the NAIA with 50.8% shooting from the floor while connecting on 36% of their three point shooting. Thanks to their ability to get to the rim, ACU ranks third in the NAIA (top remaining tournament team) at drawing opponent fouls at 20.6 fouls per game.

After their win on Thursday, Arizona Christian evened their record to 8-8 playing in the legendary Municipal Auditorium. Overall in NAIA tournament play, ACU holds a 16-9 all-time record. Three years ago when they reached the semifinals is the furthest that the Firestorm have ever advanced. The Firestorm advanced to the quarterfinals in the 2023 tournament before bowing out in the Round of 16 in 2024.

Grace (IN)
The Lancers (29-5) are the second seed in the Cramer Quadrant after beating St. Mary-Woods 86-71 in the Round of 16 and winning the Winona Lake first and second round site. The Lancers have won nine straight games. Grace advanced to at least the NAIA Quarterfinal round for the third straight year. The 121 points posted by Grace against Carolina (NC) in their first round is the highest point total in the 2025 NAIA tournament.

Grace is making appearance number 14 in the NAIA national tournament including the last four years. Overall, the Lancers own a 25-11 record in NAIA championship action. They lost in the semifinals to Freed-Hardeman in 2024. The Lancers have claimed the coveted red banner once in their program history.

Arizona Christian and Grace (IN) have faced off once with the Lancers winning 80-62 in Glendale in December of 2022.
