Women’s Basketball Blows by the Redhawks

Glendale AZ – In a match up with playoff implications, the Lady Firestorm were able to pull away from the Redhawks of Benedictine-Mesa 70-53. The Firestorm entered the game one and a half games behind the Redhawks for the #3 seed in the GSAC tournament and are now in a virtual tie with six games remaining on the schedule.
 
Emily Till led all scorers with 22 points and dominated the glass with 18 rebounds.  Taylor Scwab and Maggie Spencer both chipped in 14 points.  The team also got a strong performance from its bench with freshman Ellie Heideman chipping in 6 points, and Kate Carpenter anchored the team's defense protecting the rim with a season best 7 blocked shots.
