Firestorm Erupts With Back-to-Back-to-Back Home Runs In Shutout Over Justice

Glendale, Ariz. – Arizona Christian delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, rolling to a 16-0 shutout victory over Justice University. The Firestorm's offense totaled 16 runs on 16 hits, led by Noah Manasan's standout night at the plate. Manasan went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and three runs scored, including a big home run to left center. Austin Kirkpatrick added three runs while collecting two hits, and Andrew Ivy contributed two hits, including a triple and an RBI. Ty Gillespie and Zach Blair each hit home runs as well, allowing the Firestorm's total to three home runs on the night. Luke Zuromski, Wyatt Graham, Jacob Solis, and Kolten Lindstrom each added hits as ACU showcased its depth throughout the lineup.

  • The Firestorm wasted no time igniting their offense, erupting for four runs in the bottom of the first inning. 
  • Andrew Ivy jumpstarted the scoring with an RBI triple to center field before Austin Kirkpatrick followed with a run-scoring single. 
  • Noah Manasan continued the early surge with an RBI triple of his own and later scored on a wild pitch to quickly give ACU a 4-0 advantage.
  • The Firestorm kept the pressure on in the second, capitalizing on another wild pitch to plate Jacob Solis before Luke Zuromski ripped an RBI double down the left field line to extend the lead to 6-0.
  • ACU added two more runs in the third behind sacrifice production from Ty Gillespie and Gavin Murphy, then tacked on two additional runs in the fourth.
  • Zach Blair delivered a sacrifice fly, and Gillespie later reached on a throwing error that allowed another run to score, pushing the lead to double digits.
  • ACU's offense reached another gear in the sixth inning, launching three home runs in the frame. 
  • Manasan highlighted the inning with a three-run blast to left center before Blair followed with a solo shot to center field. 
  • Gillespie capped the power surge with a solo homer of his own, giving the Firestorm a commanding 15-0 lead.
  • The Firestorm added its final run in the seventh when Kolten Lindstrom delivered an RBI single to score Wyatt Graham.
  • On the mound, Casey Farrell set the tone with five scoreless innings to earn the win and improve to 3-0 on the season. 
  • Farrell did not allow a hit while striking out five. 
  • Joey Genduso, Connor Dougal, Nathan Collier, Colin Gebler, and Tyler Bailey combined in relief to complete the one-hit shutout while striking out four more batters.
  • ACU won the game, 16-0.
