Lady Firestorm's Kayla McNatt Earns Fifth Place & First Ever All American Honors at Nationals

Wichita, Kan.- Arizona Christian University Women's Wrestling made history over the weekend as freshman Kayla McNatt was the lone wrestler representing the school and claimed its first-ever All-American honors as she placed fifth in the program's inaugural season. 

McNatt, a Glendale, AZ native, qualified to compete at the NAIA Nationals after placing third at the Cascade Collegiate Conference championships. With her stellar performance at conference, she earned 2026 All-Conference honors. 

After day one, McNatt earned fifth place on day one of the NAIA National tournament after getting two byes in the first two rounds, won by decision in the third round over Grand View's Tristan Nitta, and won by pin over Dickinson State's Jenna Gerhardt. 

On day two, McNatt fell short to William Penn's Mia Palumbo as she lost due to tech fall 11-0. 

 McNatt helped the Firestorm earn 14.0 points and place 24th place out of 36 teams.
