Arizona Christian has advanced to the final site of Kansas City for the fifth straight year.  ACU is 10-9 all-time playing in the legendary Municipal Auditorium.  Overall in NAIA tournament play, ACU holds a 21-10 all-time record.  Searching for their first Red Banner, Arizona Christian has advanced to the Fab Four in two of the last four years.

Freed-Hardeman
The Lions (32-1) beat Northwestern (OH) 74-72 on Thursday in comeback fashion as they trailed headed into the final minute of the game.  Phil Horton scored 21 points.  Lane Lauderbaugh and Rodney Henderson both had 15 points.

FHU entered the tournament as the top seed in the Naismith Quadrant and ranked number one in the NAIA.  Like Arizona Christian, Freed-Hardeman advanced to the semifinals of last year's tournament.  They won the NAIA National championship just one season prior.  In national tournament appearance number 11 for the Lions, they own a 20-10 record.
