Waddell, Ariz.- On Saturday, Arizona Christian won game one with a tally of 7-3 to earn a series weekend win.  But OUAZ countered by winning 7-3 in the day cap.

  • Morgan Bradford singled to start the second, Madonia dropped a sac bunt behind her and Lemley cashed her in
  • OUAZ responded with one in the bottom of the inning
  • Pisa dropped down a squeeze bunt to plate Grubb in the top of the third
  • The Spirit created a 2-2 game with a run in the fourth
  • In the fifth, ACU pushed across five runs without the benefit of an extra base hit
  • Avery Slater, Pisa, and pinch hitter Sierra Lauko all had RBI singles in the inning
  • Grinstead gave up a run in the fifth but retired the last six batters she faced for win number 12

  • The Spirit built a 3-0 lead after three
  • Bradford singled home McCracken to get ACU on the board in the fourth
  • OUAZ moved back ahead three runs
  • Lemley produced an RBI groundout and Ward followed  with a pinch hit RBI single to bring ACU within one
  • But a three spot for the Spirit put comfortably ahead for good

The Firestorm will face a busy final week of the regular season as they will play six games in three days.  The fun begins on Thursday when Arizona Christian visits Embry-Riddle to start a two day four game series.
