Firestorm Makes Historic Run At STUNT NAIA Nationals

Bethany, Okla.- Competing at the 2026 STUNT NAIA National Championship hosted by Southern Nazarene University the Arizona Christian Firestorm made program history with their first-ever appearance on the national stage.

Arizona Christian opened the tournament on Friday with a milestone victory, defeating Missouri Valley 17-9 in their first game at nationals.  The Firestorm set the tone early, taking the first quarter 4-1, and maintained control throughout.  After a 3-3 tie in the second quarter, ACU edged the third 2-1 before closing strong with an 8-4 advantage in the fourth.

On Saturday, the Firestorm faced Hope International but came up short in their second contest of the weekend.

Sunday brought a rematch with Missouri Valley, and ACU once again delivered.  The Firestorm secured a 15-8 victory, highlighted by a dominant 4-0 second quarter.  Arizona Christian also claimed the first quarter 3-2 and the fourth 6-4, while the third quarter ended in a 2-2 tie.

The strong showing advanced ACU to the championship game, where they met Hope International for the title.  Despite their momentum, the Firestorm fell 15-0 in the final.

In their first appearance at nationals, Arizona Christian not only earned their first national wins but advanced all the way to the championship game—marking a significant milestone for the program.
