ACU Battles Oregon Tech To Draw On The Road

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Arizona Christian wrapped up its game at Oregon Tech with a hard-fought 0-0 draw Thursday afternoon, relying on a strong defensive effort and six saves from goalkeeper Dustin Rogers to earn a point in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The result moves the Firestorm to 1-1-2 on the season.

  • Logan Johnson, Raul Aranda, Jose Garcia, Andres Topete, and Noah Arter each put attempts on frame, but Oregon Tech goalkeeper Noah Harwood kept the match scoreless with five saves.
  • On the defensive end, goalkeeper Dustin Rogers anchored the Firestorm with six saves while the back line, led by Jake Underwood and Alexander Menolascina, played the full 90 minutes to preserve the clean sheet. 
  • Oregon Tech held a 15-13 advantage in shots and earned nine corner kicks, but ACU's defense consistently turned away the Owls' pressure, especially during a busy second half.
  • The match featured a physical battle from start to finish, with both teams combining for six yellow cards. 
  • Despite the intensity, neither side could find a breakthrough as the Firestorm secured their second shutout of the young season and collected another road result.
