Wonderly Earns GSAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Glendale, Ariz.-- The GSAC announced their GSAC Players of the Week on Monday and Tayler Wonderly was selected as the GSAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions.

Wonderly, a Grand Terrace, CA native, was the catalyst of the Arizona Christian defense last week as the goalkeeper accounted for 18 total saves in the course of two games. The Firestorm earned a win over Carroll College on Saturday and lost a close match against Rocky Mountain earlier today.

On Saturday's game against Carroll College, Wonderly had an impressive eight total saves and earned her first clean sheet of the season. The graduate student added another 10 saves in ACU's loss against Rocky Mountain, allowing only two goals in the game.

Wonderly currently has the second-most saves in the GSAC conference, with 18 saves under her belt thus far.
