Prior to ACU- Spent two seasons at Sul Ross State playing for Head Coach Bobby Mesker… Appeared 14 games with 12 starts as a Junior… Hit .207 with a triple, three runs, and three RBI… As a Sophomore, started two of his four games played… Hit .500 which included one double… Spent one season playing at Glendale Community College for Head Coach Dave Grant… Appeared in 33 games and hit .229… Went 2-3 off one of the best junior college pitchers in the nation

Gila Bend High School- Played four years Varsity for Head Coach Donny Young… Guided the Gila Monsters to their first ever state title as a Senior by going 3-4 in title game… Earned Second Team All-State three times… Named to the All-State Tournament team all four years… As a Senior, hit .520 with three home runs, two triples, eight doubles, 32 RBI, and 30 runs scored… Finished 8-2 on the mound with 74 strikeouts and six complete games… As a Junior, hit .523 with 3 home runs, 8 triples, 12 doubles, 37 RBI, and 44 runs… Was 2-0 on the mound… Maintained a .440 career batting average… Graduated second in his class
