Biography

2015-16 (Senior Year): Jackson enters his fourth season as a member of the Firestorm.

2014-15 (Junior Year): Prior to Jackson’s junior year he suffered a closed tibia and fibula oblique fracture. While the doctors predicted an 8-12 month recovery process Jackson rehabbed hard and was cleared to return to action in exactly six months. He made his season debut on December 6, 2014 while playing against conference foe San Diego Christian where he scored 6 points and pulled down 2 rebounds in 14 minutes of play. In 25 games, including 2 starts, Jackson averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 18.7 minutes while shooting 54.2% from the field. He helped the Firestorm break a school record for wins as the team finished 25-9. He also helped the program to their third consecutive NAIA National Championship Tournament and the first ever tournament win in program history as the Firestorm advanced to the Sweet 16. Jackson was named team captain during his junior campaign.

2013-14 (Sophomore Year): Jackson started all 32 contests for the Firestorm as a sophomore, averaging 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 22.3 minutes while shooting 58.4% from the field a 33.3% from three. He helped the Firestorm break the school record for wins as the team finished 23-8. They also made their second consecutive NAIA National Championship Tournament and garnered their highest national ranking ever in the NAIA Top 25 Poll (#6).

2012-13 (Freshman Year): Jackson was one of the first four year recruits for ACU in the Jeff Rutter era. As a freshman he was one of two players to start all 30 games for the Firestorm, the other being senior leader A.J. Koch. Jackson averaged 9 points and 6.4 rebounds in 25.4 minutes while shooting 52.7% from the field and 40% from three. He helped the Firestorm break the school’s win record as they finished 20-10 and made the program’s first ever NAIA National Championship Tournament. Jackson also aided the Firestorm in their first ever national ranking, finishing the season ranked 19th in the Top 25 Poll.

High School: A 2012 graduate, Jackson played at Murrieta Valley High School in Murrieta, California.

Personal: Born September 9, 1993, Jackson hails from Murrieta, California. He is the son of Del (father) and Jodi (mother). He has two sisters Kylie (25) and Kirstie (23) and one brother Cooper (19). Jackson is majoring in Biology and is on the Pre-Med track.
