The 2017 season marks the first for Arizona Christian Men’s Soccer under the direction of Head Coach Andrew Belleman.  Coach Belleman believes the largest recruiting class ever for ACU Men’s Soccer will be the foundation for the program to build on beginning this season.

Coach Belleman joined the Firestorm coaching staff after spending the last six years as the head men’s coach at Mount Vernon Nazarene University.  In his tenure, the Cougars established a record of 55-44-17 including a 12-4-3 mark in 2016.  With defense as their backbone, Mount Vernon Nazarene produced nine shutouts each of the last two seasons.  Under his watch, MVNU produced 15 All-Crossroads League players.

Academics is a big part of Belleman’s view of success as well as his MVNU men posted a team GPA of 3.26.

Prior to Mount Vernon Nazarene, Coach Belleman coached as an assistant at other colleges and a head coach at the high school and club levels.

Before stepping into the coaching ranks, Belleman played four years at Cedarville University.  In that time frame, CU advanced to two National Christian College Athletic Association national championships.  With Belleman as the team captain, Cedarville spent most of the 2005 season in the NAIA Top 25.

Educationally, Belleman earned a bachelor of arts in multi-age physical education from Cedarville University in May 2006.  Two years later, he added a masters of education in special education from Wilmington College.

Coach Belleman and his wife, Tiffany, have three boys- Wesley, Eli, and Jaxon.  The Bellemans attend Christ’s Church of the Valley- Peoria.
