The 2018 season marks the beginning of the tenure for Marcos Gil as the head coach of Arizona Christian softball.  Coach Gil has spent the last three years turning around the North Pointe Preparatory School softball program along with coaching travel ball for over 20 years.

Under the guidance of Coach Gil from 2015-17 at North Pointe Prep, the Falcons produced a record of 45-28, won a section title, and advanced as far as the third round of the state playoffs.  For perspective, North Pointe managed a total of six combined wins the three years before Coach Gil.

Gil made a name for himself working as a pitching coach and recruiting coach for local travel ball teams that competed throughout the country from California to Florida and New Jersey to Oregon with many stops in between- though primarily in Arizona.

Since 2001, Coach Gil has worked as an information systems specialist.  He will continue in his current senior analyst position while running Arizona Christian softball.

Residing in Phoenix, Coach Gil married his wife Tricia in February 2018.  The Gils have a blended family of children ranging from teenagers to grown adults.  Daughter Alicia plays softball at Montreat College while two younger daughters play softball at North Pointe Prep.  The Gils attend Calvary Community Church in Phoenix.
