The Arizona Christian Men's Tennis team had a strong showing on Friday defeating Hope International 8-1 to begin GSAC play.

The Firestorm (2-2, 1-0 GSAC) started off the day strong sweeping doubles action. Juniors Daniel Superlano and Scott Wheeler won 8-4 in number one doubles action.  In number two doubles action, Freshman Theo Preiswerk and Senior Luka Stanivukovic secured the 8-5 victory.  Junior Alberto Lapiedra and Junior Andy Vang won the third match of the day 8-3 in number three doubles.

Moving to the singles action, Junior Enzo Douillac was victorious in the number one spot- 6-1 and 6-1. After dropping their first match of the day to the Royals (0-3, 0-2 GSAC) in number two singles action, the Firestorm went on to went the remaining matches. Senior Marcelo Balderrama, along with Stanivukovic, Preiswerk and Vang all collected wins in singles action.

The Firestorm will return to action on Saturday when they host GSAC opponent Westmont. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 pm at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
