Phoenix, AZ- The #10 Arizona Christian Firestorm defeated #12 San Diego Christian Hawks 6-3 in a match that was played over two days due to weather conditions.

ACU took an early lead in doubles action winning two of the three matches played on Saturday.  Senior Marcelo Balderrama and Seniors Santiago Galeffi won the first match of the day in the number three doubles spot in the lineup with the 8-2 victory.  Junior Enzo Douillac and Sophomore Jesse Miritello gave the Firestorm the early 2-0 lead with a victory in the number one doubles match winning 8-3.  ACU dropped the number two doubles match before the skies opened up and caused a delay in the match until Sunday.

When action resumed, the Firestorm (9-3, 3-0 GSAC) won four of the six singles matches to win the match 6-3. Junior Alberto Lapiedra, Miritello, Junior Daniel Superlano, and Balderrama all earned victories in singles play to defeat the Hawks (4-3, 2-1 GSAC).

ACU will return to action on Wednesday as Connecticut College comes to town.  First serve is scheduled for 12:00 pm at the Phoenix Tennis Center.
