San Diego, CA- On Saturday, #10 Arizona Christian was upset 6-3 by #13 San Diego Christian on the road at the Lake Murray Tennis Center.

In doubles action, Junior Daniel Superlano and Junior Alberto Lapiedra earned the 8-2 win for the Firestorm (13-5, 3-1 GSAC) on court two.

In singles play, Superlano and Senior Marcelo Balderrama won their matches.  Superlano won 6-1, 6-2 in number four singles.  Balderrama was victorious on court six with a pair of 6-1 wins.  The other four matches were close as Junior Enzo Douillac, Sophomore Jesse Miritello, and Junior Scott Wheeler all forced a third set but ultimately fell.  Lapiedra was on the short end of 7-5 and 6-4 scores on court two.

After a grueling spring break week, ACU will have almost two weeks off before they play again.  A return to action will come on the road in a match at Hope International on April 6.  The 10:00 am match is set to be played at the Fullerton Tennis Center.
