LEBANON, Tenn. - Despite taking one singles match and one doubles match yesterday, the Arizona Christian University men's tennis program (2-3) fell to No. 20 Cumberland University (1-1) 6-1 on Thursday evening at the Tommy Gray Tennis Courts.

Match Notes:

The match was originally scheduled to be played on Friday afternoon, but due to incoming inclement weather, the two programs decided to reschedule and play a day early.

Yesterday's contest marked the first-ever meeting between the two tennis programs.

Thoughts From Coach:

"Given the circumstances I am extremely proud of the way the guys competed.  The score may say that it was a 6-1 loss, but every match was a battle and we definitely could have won.  Not getting the doubles point hurt us, but we came back strong in singles against a top-20 team and I think we really showed what we're capable of."
