Flagstaff, Ariz.- Facing two NCAA Division I schools and OUAZ, Arizona Christian claimed "third" after falling to Northern Arizona and Idaho but beating OUAZ.

The Firestorm earned the top spot against the Spirit in all events.  The high altitude slowed the times but will help ACU going forward in the season.  Stephanie Flores made her collegiate debut by swimming in four tough events.

Coach Hering's Perspective

"Our women's team has more depth this year and even though this competition was very challenging with thin air, I expect to see great improvement as our season moves on.  These ladies are tenacious as proven by freshman Flores who raced the 1000 free, 200 fly, 500 free and 400 free relay.  Winston Churchill said, "Success is not final, failure is not final, it is the courage to continue that counts."  Our women's team has the courage to continue!"

Next On The Schedule

The Firestorm will have three weeks off before hitting the pool competitively.  They will head to SOKA in Aliso Viejo, CA, on November 12.
