Los Angeles, CA- The women's swimming team traveled west to compete in the Pacific Coast Swimming & Diving Championships held at the East LA Indoor pool.  Competition featured both NAIA and NCAA competition which brought out the best from the Firestorm swimmers who notched 14 new school records, and many more new personals bests.
 
The top performer of the meet was Hannah Jyawook who individually set three program records in the 200 and 400 IM, the 500 Freestyle, and then contributed to the new program record in the 200 Medley Relay.
 
Other strong performances included Claire Eilers finishing third in the 100 Freestyle, and the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Eilers, Jyawook, Abbey Lair, and Camilla Oviedo who finished in eighth place.

"The PCSC conference meet was our biggest success ever; fourteen new team records, we scored over 200 points more than any other year (with less athletes) and we battled very close with two NCAA D2 teams! Coach Rob & Coach Nate played a significant part in boosting our team to higher levels. Also, the team unity and support for each other was amazing! It was our highest impact for representing ACU and Christ!"
