Aliso Viejo, CA- The Firestorm women's swim team travelled west to Aliso Viejo, CA to compete at the GSAC Swim & Dive Championships at Soka University. The highlight of day one was
Hannah Jyawook winning the GSAC Championship for the 500-yard freestyle. Her time of 5:07.50 was also a program record. During Session Two, she placed second in the 400 yard IM with another school record of 4:31.86 which also ranks her fifth overall in the NAIA.
Other great performances included
Abbey Lair setting two new personal bests while claiming All-GSAC distinctions in the 50 yard freestyle (24.71) and 200 yard freestyle (1:57.08).
Courtney Pequin also grabbed two All-GSAC distinctions in the 100 yard fly (1:00.63 – a new personal best) and the 100 yard backstroke (1:04.56).
