• In the first match, NAU swept doubles and won on courts five and six in singles
• Martin Thomas, Josh Jones, and Jonas Wand all won at least three games.  
• Hugo Abril impressed by winning his first collegiate set 6-2 before dropping the last two sets on court three
• After a couple hours of break, the teams went head-to-head for the second time
• Gustavo Montoya took three games in his match at six
• Hugo, playing at number one, won the equivalent of a set but dropped his match 6-2 and 6-4
• In the final match playing on the day, Wand forced a tiebreak second set but lost 7-1

"These matches were never about the scores, but they are a great measuring stick for where we are at early in the season.  NAU is the best team we will play all year and in the toughest conditions, so all things considered the guys did a great job today.  We definitely have work to do, but we will take a lot of positives from this and be ready to hit the ground running next week."
