Thorsen’s Hole-In-One Brightens Spring Start

Madelyn Thorsen made a hole-in-one on the par-3 14th

Beaumont, Calif. - In the first tournament of the spring season, the Lady Firestorm did not have their best at a stern test in Oak Valley Golf Club. OUAZ came out on top with a 36-hole total of 638, winning at the same course as in the fall (623, Vanguard Fall Invite). The Spirit's Taylor Wilczek was the individual medalist with a three over 147 total.

Sarafina Nicholas recorded the Firestorm's lowest score of the tournament (80) in the final round and was the top finisher in a tie for ninth.

The highlight of the event was Madelyn Thorsen's hole-in-one on the par-3 14th during the final round. She struck an 8-iron to perfection and watched as her ball found the bottom of the cup.

Sophia Higuera, ACU's pillar of consistency in the fall, managed scores of 89 and 88 to land in a tie for 17th.
