Riverside, CA – In a game that was close for the first three quarters, the Lady Firestorm shutout the Eagles of La Sierra in the final period and scored the final twenty points of the game to pull away for a double figure road victory. Senior
Emily Till led the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while
Taylor Schwab chipped in 17 points while playing the disrupter on defense with 5 steals.
The final points the Eagles would score came from two Breonna Martinez free throws with four seconds remaining in the third period to tie the score at 41-41. From there the Lady Firestorm cranked up their defensive effort forcing ten turnovers and scoring twelve points off those turnovers. Schwab had four of her five steals in the period and combined with Till for sixteen of the teams twenty fourth quarter points.
