San Dimas, CA – A furious second half rally fell short, and the Lady Firestorm lost to the Warriors of Life Pacific on Saturday 67-69.  Taylor Schwab led the team in scoring with 21 points, and Emily Till once again put together a great all-around performance with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists.
 
It was an uphill struggle from the start.  After Till scored a layup to tie the score 2-2 at the 7:11 mark of the first quarter, the Warriors would score the next twelve points and would ultimately end the quarter up 24-6.  While the Firestorm was more competitive in the second quarter, the Warriors still outscored them by six to go into halftime up twenty-four points, 38-14.
 
Coming alive in the third quarter, the Firestorm chipped away at the deficit before using a 15-0 run over the final four minutes of the period to pull within three points entering the final stanza.  In that period, the Firestorm twice took a two-point lead.  But they were unable to create any further separation and the Warriors held on for just their second GSAC victory of the season while sending the Firestorm to their fourth defeat.
