Glendale, Ariz.- The Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) has named
Jay Lee the Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week after his dominant performance on the glass helped the Firestorm vault into a three-way tie atop the conference standings.
Defensive Dominance
Lee controlled the paint over two critical games, averaging 13.0 rebounds per game, including 9.5 defensive boards that limited opponents' second-chance opportunities. He also added 2.0 blocks per game, protecting the rim and altering countless other shots.
Double-Double Performance
The Las Vegas, NV, native produced his sixth double-double of the season with an impressive 18-point, 16-rebound effort against The Master's, showcasing his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Lee averaged 11.5 points over the two-game stretch.
