Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) announced the 2026 Men's Volleyball All-Conference Team presented by Under Armour.  Jarrett Spartz and Caleb Merlino were given the title All-GSAC marking the first time in program history that two Firestorm earned the honor in the same season.

Spartz, from Peoria, AZ, topped the Firestorm with 249 kills and is fourth in the GSAC with 3.51 kills per set.  The outside hitter delivered 20 service aces to lead ACU.  Spartz added 105 digs and 24 blocks- both top three on the team.  He pounded out a season best 23 kills against Indiana Tech.

Merlino, also from Peoria, AZ, topped the Firestorm with a .438 hitting percentage- second in the GSAC for qualifiers.  The middle blocker was second on the ACU squad with 153 kills.  But he was the ACU leader in blocks with 55 in 2026.  Sixteen kills against Benedictine Mesa was his season best.

With the newly minted All-GSAC tandem leading the way, Arizona Christian advanced for the first time to the GSAC playoffs and reached 12 wins- a new ACU season best.
