Glendale, Ariz.- On Monday, the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC) announced the GSAC Players of the Week and Arizona Christian's Jarrett Spartz was selected as the Men's Volleyball Attacker of the Week.

Spartz, from Peoria, AZ, topped the Firestorm with 34 kills in the eight sets (4.25 kills per set) played by ACU last week. The outside hitter hit .390 on the week and added nine digs.

Against Park Gilbert on Tuesday, he hit .500 as he accounted for 12 kills.  In the win over Benedictine Mesa on Thursday, Spartz increased to 22 kills to go along with five service aces.

With Spartz leading the way, Arizona Christian used their two wins over their GSAC foes from Arizona to climb into third place in the GSAC standings and lock in their first GSAC playoff appearance in program history.
