Glendale, Ariz.- On Thursday night, Arizona Christian Women's Volleyball will play their lone home match of the fall when they host Oklahoma Panhandle State.  The match that will be played at YMCA-Glendale is already officially sold out after reaching the COVID capacity for the venue.

Arizona Christian

ACU went 1-1 on their trip to Oklahoma and Texas to open their season last weekend.  The Firestorm lost 3-1 to the Aggies on Friday.  On Saturday, Arizona Christian beat Wayland Baptist 3-0.  In the match against the Pioneers, the Firestorm set a three set match team record with 78 digs.

The Aggies are 1-1 on the season after beating ACU on Friday- the only previous meeting between the teams.  Ana Pimenta recorded 16 kills against ACU (27 kills on the season).  Andria Santoyo added 14 kills (18 kills on the year).  Ashley Sanchez produced 27 digs (35 digs total).

"Excited to have another opportunity to compete with Oklahoma Panhandle State tomorrow night.  We have learned a lot about ourselves from our matches last weekend and it has shaped how we have trained going into this re-match.  We have a lot of athletes who are hoping to showcase their athletic capabilities in this upcoming match and so we are just focusing on finishing the practice week strong."
