Coach Hering's Perspective
Women- "Swimming against an established Div. II team is always a challenge we love to learn from! Biola hosted a great meet, and we had exceptional performances especially in the 1650 (mile). Our freshman ladies- Stephanie is currently 11th nationally (school record) and teammate Robin ranks 26th nationally (her best time by 12 seconds). We are in speed training phase now with back-to-back racing!"
Men- "Our men's team had some good battles in the pool today against Biola. Our biggest goal was to keep racing during our speed phase and refine our skills so when we rest the swimmers, they will be ready. We had a few breakthrough swims today against an experienced DII team today. Jacob was .02 away from a win in the 50 free. The small technical improvements make the difference in the end. Great team cheering today against a PCSC winning team!
"Thankful for Asst SID JD Hamby and Team Manager CJ Spaanstra getting splits on our athletes! Thank you also to coach Rob Oldach for all his efforts and support for our swim team!"
