More Records Rewritten, Rogers Wins Pole Vault

Jocelyn Odiott competes in the 4x400 relay at the Gaucho Indoor Invite
Glendale, Ariz. - The Lady Firestorm continued to shed personal bests in their indoor season finale at the Gaucho Indoor Invitational on Saturday. A grand total of five athletes posted personal records at Glendale Community College, with three being top-10 marks in ACU Women's Track and Field history. Other schools that competed include Pima Community, Paradise Valley Community, Glendale Community and Park Gilbert.

Senior Kourtney Bruner got things rolling with a personal-best 10.12 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, good enough for the second-fastest time in program history. Junior Jade Roberts managed two personal bests, first in the 60 meter (8.37 seconds) and then in the 400 meter (1:03.98), which granted her the eighth-fastest time in ACU history.

Freshman McKenna Rogers elevated higher in pole vault (3.26 meters) for the third consecutive meet, and won the discipline for a second consecutive week.

Over five indoor meets, the Firestorm recorded 13 top-10 all-time performances and 25 personal bests across sprints, jumps and throws.
