Glendale, AZ- Recently the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2025 Daktronics NAIA Winter Sport Scholar-Athletes presented by the Phoenix Policee Department. Arizona Christian University Athletics saw 25 student-athletes qualify for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
According to the NAIA release, to qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. The winter sports sponsored by Arizona Christian that were eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swim, and men's wrestling.
Women's Basketball and Women's Swim tied to top ACU with nine Scholar-Athletes for each team. Men's Wrestling was the top men's winter program for the Firestorm.
