Thoughts from Coach Butterfield
"I am extremely proud of our guys this weekend. Every single one of our guys competed at high levels and proved that we are one of the best teams in the country. Our first two duals had some very tough matchups with top 10 ranked teams. JJ Ramirez highlighted the weekend by going 4-0 at 133 lbs, with a huge win over the #4 ranked wrestler in the country from Campbellsville. Leo Galasso also took out the #11 ranked wrestler in the country from Southeastern. The final dual against Central Methodist was a complete team effort, with us coming out on top 22-21 against the #14 ranked team in the country. JJ Ramirez, Mikee Trujillo, Channing Porter, Rico Robles, and Bronson Swan all stepped up with big wins in the dual to help us walk away with the win. We are thankful for all of the opportunities to get better this weekend. God has been extremely good to our team this year and we are excited for what is to come."

Next Up
On Friday, ACU will host the Firestorm Duals against Grand Canyon University, OUAZ, and Utah Tech at the Firestorm Recreation Center starting at 5:30pm.
