Glendale, Ariz.- Great Southwest Athletic Conference Flag Football Defensive Player of the Week honors, presented by Athletic Solutions, went to Shana Hunton after a dominant performance leading the Firestorm defense.

Hunton anchored a unit that recorded back-to-back shutouts—the first two in program history. She totaled 13 tackles on the week, including a standout 10-tackle effort against Benedictine Mesa on Thursday. She also contributed two pass breakups in the win over the Redhawks, helping seal another scoreless defensive performance.
