Box Score Glendale, Ariz.- Playing in the shadows of State Farm Stadium on the Arizona Cardinals Flag Football Campus, Arizona Christian came up just short in a 21-13 loss to La Sierra in the GSAC Semifinals.

The Firestorm found themselves in an early hole, trailing 14-0 before getting on the board. Arizona Christian cut the deficit to 14-6 by halftime but was unable to fully recover. La Sierra extended its lead to 21-6 after three quarters, and despite a late touchdown in a comeback attempt, ACU could not close the gap.

CC Maccagnano led the offense with 176 passing yards and two touchdowns. Aleena Tobar and Anelly Alba each hauled in a touchdown reception to account for the Firestorm scoring.

Defensively, Shea Gonzalez stood out with a strong performance- recording 13 tackles and an interception.  Jaidah Griego added six tackles in the effort.

With the loss, the Firestorm's first season comes to a close.
