Underwood Named GSAC Defensive Player Of The Week

Glendale, Ariz.-- On Monday, the GSAC announced the GSAC Players of the Week and ACU's Jake Underwood was selected as the Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions.

Underwood, a Phoenix, AZ native, played all 180 minutes in two games as Arizona Christian earned both victories over ParkGilbert and OUAZ.

The captain helped the Firestorm defeat the Buccaneers, 2-1 on Thursday night before leading the team to victory vs OUAZ on Saturday night as he helped contribute on both ends of the field, scoring his first goal of the season.

The senior defenders' hard work on the back line helped ACU remain undefeated in conference, 2-0.
