Chandler, AZ- On Saturday, ACU softball met up with Benedictine-Mesa.  Thanks to a combined one hitter and seven run outburst in game one and timely hitting with some power in game two, the Firestorm swept the Redhawks 9-0 and 7-3.

  • A single by San Pedro cashed in Church and Lauryn Nicander in the fifth
  • The Firestorm put seven runs on the board with only four hits- Lopez drove in two and San Pedro tripled home two more
  • Only hit (a single) for BenU came in the fourth

  • San Pedro scored in the third before the Redhawks scored twice for a 2-1

"It was nice to play a complete double header in all facets of the game; pitching, hitting, defense, and base running.  I'm very proud of how the team is practicing and playing right now."

 

Up Next

On Thursday, the Firestorm are scheduled to host Saint Katherine at Rose Mofford at 5:00 pm.  But rain is also listed in the forecast that day… stay tuned.
