Glendale, AZ- For the second time in as many double headers on the week, the Firestorm split a slugfest against an opponent.  On Friday, Arizona Christian and Menlo slugged away at each other for the split.  The day started with a suspended game being finished- which was won by Menlo 9-8.

• Firestorm scored in every from the third inning on
• Guzman opened the scoring with an RBI single in the third and ended the scoring with a walk-off home run in the seventh
• In between Guzman's run producing efforts the Firestorm cranked three home runs
• Porras earned the win in relief

Inside Game Two

• Menlo built a 3-0 lead before ACU cashed in a five run third highlighted by the Grijalva grand slam
• Tied 5-5, the Firestorm used to a four run fifth to move back in front- Porras doubled and A. Garcia homered
• But Menlo used a seven run sixth to move in front for good

"One of the most frustrating things is scoring 17 runs in two games (suspended game and game two) and losing both.  Our hitters stepped up today, now we need our pitchers to match our hitters tomorrow and we'll be alright."
