Firestorm Show Off Power In Saturday Sweep

Surprise, AZ- In a Saturday double header sweep against two different teams, Arizona Christian showed off their powered as Seniors Kylee Brown and Jamilia Cosay both homered.  The Firestorm delivered a walk-off 5-4 win against No.25 Marymount followed by a 10-7 victory over Northwest in the night cap.

  • In the extra eighth inning, Vickman pinch ran and three straight walks (two intentional) gave ACU the literal walk-off

  • Payton Carli scored on a throwing error in the fourth
  • Three ACU runs in the sixth proved to be the winning runs highlighted by a double from Brown that plated Adri Chavez
  • NU scored two runs and had the tying run at the plate in the seventh when Porras closed the door with a strikeout

"So fun to watch the girls play ACU ball again.  We were off a little bit the past two weeks.  But we have worked hard to get back to what we know works for our program and it was so fun to be a part of today.  Excited for what is to come."
