Glendale, AZ- After coming up short in game one, the Firestorm poured on the offense in game two to earn the split with the Oaks of Menlo.  Senior Paige Church homered and doubled in game one.  Junior Elsy Guzman drove in three and Senior Tatumn Porras drove in two.  Senior Emerald Grijalva threw all 13 innings played.

• The Oaks used consecutive doubles to a 1-0 lead in the first
• Grijalva did not allow another Oak to reach second in the final five innings
• A Porras RBI single in the second created a 1-1 tie
• RBI singles from Church, Porras, and Payton Carli in the fourth gave ACU a 5-1 edge
• Lani San Pedro singled home a run in the sixth
• Two batters later, Guzman delivered a bases loaded double to right to clear the bases and end the game thanks to the mercy rule.

"Pleased to see how the team bounced back after losing game one. Game one was a good game we just didn't hit well enough to get the win and it was awesome to see us secure the win easily in game two. I love that our three conference wins have been run rules! Proud of Emerald for going the distance in both games!"
