Glendale, AZ - Arizona Christian University Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Jill Milnor as their new Head Cheer Coach.  Milnor brings a wealth of experience to ACU Cheer through a variety of cheer and pom leadership positions. 

Dr. Peter Dryer, Director of Athletics, commented, "Coach Milnor is a great fit for ACU Cheer.  Not only does she have high level experience, but she is uniquely gifted to serve in our Christian community and grow our cheer program."

Coach Milnor stated, "I am excited and honored to guide inspiring young athletes to become strong followers of Christ while loving the sport of cheerleading and their involvement with Arizona Christian University athletics, events and competitions.  After coaching at the junior high and high school level for over twenty years, it is finally time to make the move back to the college level.  I am looking forward to being part of the positive energy that surrounds ACU."

Coach Milnor currently serves as a biology teacher at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem, Arizona.  She earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master's of Art from Oregon State University.  During her time at Oregon State, Milnor served as captain of the cheer team as an undergraduate student.  Upon graduation, she was appointed the head coach of the OSU cheer program.  In 1991, Milnor joined the Portland Trailblazers Dance Team as a performer and choreographer.  After her time with the Trailblazers, Coach Milnor continued to have significant impact through her experiences in cheer and pom, including:

·        Head Coach at Glencoe High School in Hillsboro, Oregon

·        State of Oregon Cheerleading Competition Director

·        Regional Marketing Representative for United Spirit Association

·        Head Coach at Silver Creek High School Pom and Cheer in San Jose, California

·        Cheerleading Coach at Copenhagen International School in Denmark

·        Cheer Coach at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem, Arizona

Coach Milnor has guided her teams to multiple championships at various levels, including top finishes in the AIA and at the USA National Championships. 

Coach Milnor and her husband, Glenn, are parents to their four children and attend Christ's Church of the Valley in Anthem, Arizona.
