GLENDALE, Ariz. — Arizona Christian University Cheer welcomed the next generation of Firestorm spirit to campus Saturday as the Future Flames Cheerleaders participated in a clinic before taking center stage during halftime of the ACU football game against OUAZ.

The morning began with the Future Flames joining the ACU cheerleaders for an interactive clinic focused on developing cheerleading fundamentals. Participants worked on tumbling skills, jumps, cheers, and stunts, learning new techniques while building confidence and experiencing the energy of collegiate cheerleading.

The excitement continued at the football game, where the Future Flames took the field alongside the ACU cheerleaders at halftime. The group performed cheers and stunts in front of the crowd, bringing their newly learned skills to the game-day atmosphere and contributing to the excitement surrounding Firestorm football.

Following the performance, the young cheerleaders had the opportunity to meet Stormin' Norman, ACU's mascot, and take photos with Norman and the ACU cheerleaders, creating lasting memories of their time on campus.

The clinic provided an opportunity for ACU Cheer to connect with the local community while giving young athletes a firsthand look at the spirit, teamwork, and excitement of collegiate athletics.

"The Future Flames Clinic was a great opportunity to get the community to be a part of the ACU game-day experience and allows the ACU cheerleaders to make an impact on young girls," assistant coach Caitlyn Maddox said.

Through events like the Future Flames Cheer Clinic, ACU Cheer continues to build relationships with young athletes and families, sharing the Firestorm experience beyond competition and creating meaningful connections within the community.
