With the recent announcement of the new ACU STUNT program (click for STUNT release), coaching appointments have been made for the Firestorm STUNT, Cheer and Dance teams.

First, Jill Milnor has been appointed Head STUNT Coach for the Firestorm.  Coach Milnor came to ACU two years ago as the Head Cheer Coach.  With her new appointment, Coach Milnor will focus exclusively on starting the new STUNT program that is set to begin competition in the spring of 2023.  

Additionally, Coach Tracy Sandon will move into a new role with the Firestorm as the Head Cheer & Dance Coach.  Coach Sandon came to ACU in the spring of 2019 and currently leads the Firestorm Dance Team.  The coordination of both Cheer and Dance will be a natural move for Coach Sandon as the two teams collaborate often in preparation for the game day experience.

About Coach Milnor...

Coach Milnor has worked as in various roles in the cheer community from the State of Oregon Cheerleading Competition Director to Cheer Head Coach of Oregon State University and several schools currently including Boulder Creek High School.  Coach Milnor was previously a performer and choreographer for the Portland Trailblazers Dance Team.

"I am so excited that ACU has selected me as head coach for the new sport STUNT," stated Coach Milnor.  "This is the perfect sport to bring athleticism, energy, the Lord and community together to compete against other NAIA schools."

About Coach Sandon...

With over 20 years of experience teaching, coaching, and choreographing dance and cheer, the transition for Coach Sandon taking on both cheer and dance for ACU will be smooth.  As a co-owner of Leap Faith Dance Plus (teaching dance to ages three and up) and dancing herself since age four, Coach Sandon is ready to push both Firestorm squads to new heights.

"Coaching is one of the most rewarding jobs and I am so grateful that God sent me on this path," commented Coach Sandon.  "I have been coaching the dance team at ACU for nearly three years and I still love it as much, if not more, than I did on day one. I look forward to the challenge of adding the cheer team this year and helping them reach their goals."
