Scottsdale, AZ- The ACU Cheer and Dance teams partnered with the Tim Tebow Foundation at the Night to Shine event at Highlands Church. Participants at the formal event were escorted by vehicle through a parade route while event sponsor KLOVE played music for the attendees. The Tim Tebow Foundation website describes Night to Shine as, "an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs."

ACU Dance coach Tracy Sandon said of the event, "We were honored to dance and cheer on the attendees at the Night to Shine parade. It blessed us immensely to see the excited faces of the honored guests and their family members and share God's love for them." In a personal connection, Sandon added,  "My cousin, Kari Fryar, attended the Night to Shine prom in Arkansas a few years ago and it was the best night of her life. Her experience made this event even more special for me. It felt incredible to support the Tim Tebow Foundation and honor people with special needs. I pray we're able to volunteer for this event again next year and dance with the attendees at their prom."

Members of the cheer and dance team also reflected on the event. Cheerleader Breanna Jackson said, "Cheering at the parade was the best part of my week! It was amazing to witness the joy and happiness that was radiated through the love of Christ by everyone there. It was one of my favorite events I've ever cheered at."

Cheerleader Asara Reed said, "I really enjoyed the opportunity to get to experience this event and see the difference that was made in these people's lives. I love that I got to play a part in showing the love of Jesus to them."

Dancer Isabel Serrano commented, "Seeing everyone so excited and happy to see us when they first drove through made cheering and being there so much fun and everyone was so welcoming."
