Glendale, Ariz.- On Saturday, Arizona Christian Softball will play their first ever true home games as they open the newly built ACU Softball Field.  The Firestorm will host the Spirit of OUAZ.  Prior to game one, the ACU seniors will be honored on their new field.

"We are so blessed to be playing our first games on a new field  and practices have just been something special all week especially for our seniors who will be celebrating Senior Day. We are all super excited for Saturday's games, it honestly feels like our season is just beginning. This is an amazing group of young ladies who just continue to grind it out every minute of every practice. They are a fun bunch, and we coaches are truly blessed. Saturday, we hope to play with intensity, purpose and continue to leave a Christ- driven legacy for ACU softballers to come. ROLL STORM!!"

After playing "home games" at eight different venues in their first almost nine full seasons as a program, Saturday will be the start of the new home era for ACU softball on the new all-turf ACU Softball Field.  The Firestorm (4-14, 0-2 GSAC) will look to return to winning ways against rival OUAZ.  After dropping the first two games against OUAZ two weeks ago, ACU must win both games on Saturday to stay in contention for the GSAC East crown.

The two wins for OUAZ two weeks ago evened the all-time series at 5-5.  The Spirt have won the last three meetings.

Like ACU, OUAZ (9-11, 2-0 GSAC) has not played since March 26 when the teams faced other.  OUAZ won 12-11 and 10-2.
