Inside Game One

• Following an error to begin the bottom of the first, Menlo used a triple to cash in the game's first run
• Buckley singled to start the fourth and race all the way home on an error to tie the game at 1-1
• The score remained double ones until the sixth when the Oaks converted a lead off double into the game winning run
• Smith suffered the loss despite giving up just one earned run while striking out five

• The third looked promising as the Firestorm had their first three batters reach- Buckley walk, Miles single, and Taylor Schleisman bunt single
• But ACU managed just one run when Anderson walked to plate Buckley
• The Firestorm lacked the big hit all game as they left nine on base in the day cap
• MC broke the tie with four in the fourth and one in the fifth
