Glendale, Ariz.- On Tuesday, Claire Buckley was announced as a member of the 2023 NAIA Academic All-America Softball First Team selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC/ formerly CoSIDA).  Joining Buckley on the 2023 CSC NAIA Academic All-District Softball Team are Kaitlyn Anderson, Jyden Miles, Taylor Schleisman, and Savannah Smith.

To be nominated by their College Sports Communicator for the Academic All-American award process presented by the CSC, student athletes must have a 3.50 GPA or higher, be a sophomore or better, completed at least two full semesters at their current school, and have success on the field to match their academic accolades.  All nominees are now considered Academic All-District before being voted on for Academic All-American selection.

Buckley, from Clovis, CA, was the lone softball player from the Golden State Athletic Conference to be voted a CSC Academic All-American in 2023.  The senior graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  The shortstop earned her second straight Academic All-Academic First Team selection.

Anderson, from Antelope, CA, graduated with a degree in behavioral health after just three years of college with a perfect GPA.  The outfielder earned her second Academic All-District honor.

Miles, from Sacramento, CA, has been perfect working on a degree in political science.  The outfielder earned her first Academic All-District recognition.

Schleisman, from Elizabeth, CO, graduated with a degree in behavioral health.  The second baseman collected her first Academic All-District honor.

Smith, from Bellingham, WA, has been near perfect in her pursuit of a degree in communication.  The pitcher is recognized Academic All-District for the first time.
